On December 6, 2023, at the Department of Physiological Disciplines named after Honored Scientist of the Republic of Kazakhstan T.A. Nazarova, an online lecture was held on the topic “Prevention of HIV infection among students” with the participation of a representative of the State Enterprise at the Regional Center for the Prevention of HIV Infection, UZ OA Tukeeva D .D. The lecture was listened to by supervisory groups studying in the educational program “Medicine” and “Pediatrics”, and also attended by the teaching staff of the department, headed by the head. World AIDS Day is celebrated annually on December 1. People around the world are coming together to show support for people living with or affected by HIV and remembering those who have died from AIDS-related illnesses.

During the lecture, topics such as statistics of HIV infection in the Abay region, ways of spreading, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of this disease were touched upon. Students asked several questions about HIV infection, to which they received comprehensive answers.[/vc_column_text]
