At the Department of Dental Disciplines and Maxillofacial Surgery, on March 17, 2024, the 2nd day of the III -National Dental Congress was held among international students of dental faculties and medical universities of Kazakhstan. The subject Olympiad was held in therapeutic dentistry at the dental clinic of “SMU”. The Olympiad required participants to demonstrate knowledge and skills in the field of dentistry, which consisted of three stages: 1st stage testing, 2nd stage solving situational problems (cases) and 3rd stage practical part with restoration of teeth on phantom blocks.

Participating in organizing the Olympiad were:  head department, associate professor Suleimeneva D.M., аssociate Professor N.B. Khaidarova, аss. Syzdykaeva S.M., ass. Akhmetova G.T., a mentoring group of 608 dental interns took an active part. Dentists of the highest category from practical healthcare Volkova I.P., Turusbekova D.H. were invited as independent experts. During the Olympiad, students revealed their professional and creative abilities in restorative dentistry. Among the participants of the Olympiad, students of “SMU” showed good knowledge and mastery of practical skills and took prizes: 1st place was taken by student of group 504 Skakova Dilnaz, 2nd place was taken by Saylaubay Elzhas and 3rd place was taken by Sapargali Asel.
