It was noted that every year 500,000 – 1,500,000 people get sick, and from 50,000 to 135,000 people die.
The speakers covered the epidemiology and clinical picture of meningococcal infection, taking into account the high risk of contracting this infection to people. Listeners received answers to questions about the prevention of meningococcal infection and the tactics of an emergency medical worker if these infections are suspected.
