20.06. In 2024, a summer school was held at the Department of Emergency Medicine of the Ust-Kamenogorsk branch. Summer school is a system of additional educational services provided free of charge for 7th year OVP interns. The theme of the summer school is “Diagnostics of tuberculosis in children and adolescents.” The lecture was given by the assistant of the Department of Emergency Medicine of the Ust-Kamenogorsk branch, pediatrician of the highest category Almash Daukenovna Ramazanova Tuberculosis belongs to the group of socially dangerous diseases, since in recent decades there has been a steady increase in incidence not only among adults, but also among children and adolescents.
The primary task of pediatrics and phthisiology at the present stage is the prevention and early detection of tuberculosis in children. The main methods for detecting or early diagnosis of this disease in children and adolescents are tuberculin diagnostics and screening fluorographic examinations carried out from the age of 15. The summer school was held in an online format with the aim of improving the training of students in internships, to consolidate and deepen theoretical knowledge, develop clinical thinking, and acquire skills for their further application in practical activities. During the summer school, future doctors became acquainted with new modern methods of diagnostics and detection of tuberculosis in children and adolescents, strengthened their knowledge of pediatrics and phthisis. Such lectures will always be relevant.
