Sanitary and educational work “Hormones and sleep”

On October 27, 2023, pediatric interns of group 601 conducted health education work on the topic “Sleep and hormones” at KSU Secondary School 42 among students in grades 10-11. The topic was chosen based on the relevance of the problem: sleep disturbances among high school students.

As you know, sufficient quantity and quality of sleep is necessary for the normal functioning of the immune system and endocrine organs, regulation of metabolism and ensuring physical and mental health. Without proper rest, we quickly get tired, feel constant fatigue and disorientation in time. Lack of sleep is also a risk factor for the development of infectious diseases and chronic fatigue syndrome. The problem of sleep disorders today is becoming more and more pressing throughout the world.

The interns prepared materials in the form of lectures and animated videos, which described in detail the regulation of sleep processes and the influence of hormones on the body. The doctors also explained the consequences of violating the sleep routine and hygiene, and gave recommendations on how to improve them.[/vc_column_text]
